Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) www.cruiseandmaritime.com  latest fleet addition Columbus will arrive in the UK this June. At 63,768 tonnes and carrying up to 1400 passengers it will be the largest CMV ship.  The arrival of Columbus, for her maiden CMV season, will see the ship based at the London Cruise Terminal in Tilbury. There are two short cruise opportunities this Summer sailing to Amsterdam and Antwerp. Both represent good value for a two-in-one city break without the lengthy airport check in times and restrictive baggage allowances. Sterling is the on-board currency, so no losing out on exchange rates.

Columbus departs Sunday 11 June on a cruise for three nights. First call is Amsterdam, time to explore this fascinating city, bursting with character, where peaceful canals are criss-crossed by hundreds of bridges. Passengers can take a sightseeing canal trip, explore the world famous art galleries and museums, browse the flower market or be tempted by the many enticing shops. In Antwerp, you arrive literally in the city centre after cruising along the River Scheldt. There is a good choice of optional excursions or you can just walk up to the famous Grote Market and admire the 16th Century Guild Houses. Depending on your sources of information, there are 144 Belgium beer brewers owned by 44 beer companies producing more than 1000 beers. So just remember where you left the ship! Those famous Belgium Chocolates are also an excellent buy. Fares available from £299pp for an inner cabin

A similar cruise departs Friday 25 August for three nights which is the Bank Holiday weekend. Already selling well, fares for this cruise are currently from £379 for an ocean view cabin.

The fare quoted is from and per person based on two people sharing a twin cabin. Includes delicious full board cuisine, afternoon teas and late night snacks, complimentary self-service  tea & coffee 24 hours, big show entertainment, cabarets and classical interludes, daytime activities and leisure facilities, porterage of luggage, port to cabin and port taxes.
