Earlier this month Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) www.cruiseandmaritime.com 0844 998 3877  extended their ‘Buy one get one free” early booking offer for many 2017 cruises, until the end of this month. From 1st September they will be increasing the fares for 2017 cruises.

2017 Fare examples: 19 April from Bristol – Avonmouth a 7 night Marco Polo cruise visiting Scotland and Ireland, 1st adult £1019, 2nd adult free. 28 May from London – Tilbury for 5 Nights on board Magellan Medieval Cities and River Seine, 1st adult from £639, 2nd adult free. 27 June from Liverpool for 11 nights on board Magellan to Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar, 1st adult from £1599, 2nd adult free.

CMV’s top selling three cruises for next year are the British Isles, the Baltic Cities & St Petersburg, and the Norwegian Fjords. The company say that TV programmes about the UK coasts and railways has created a shop window. It has served as a reminder to a countless number of people who have never visited Scotland, Ireland or more remote off shore islands. Thanks to TV’s ‘War & Peace’ series, seeing the Russian palaces, the Hermitage Museum and other locations is much in demand. And, the majestic scenery in the Norwegian Fjords is on many people’s bucket list.

Sales of CMV’s new fleet addition Columbus, that joins the expanding company in June next year, includes an unusual itinerary to Cuba, Central America and the West Indies. Proving popular also are the two multi-generational Columbus cruises, enabling people to take their children and grand-children. The ship originally was called Arcadia, then then the popular Ocean Village before being renamed Pacific Pearl.
