Tall ship summer family holidays, with 50% saving for kids

Star Clippers Flyer

Throughout July and August Star Clippers offer family holidays on board their three magnificent, fully-crewed tall ships, sailing beneath thousands of feet of billowing sails, with 50% savings for up to two children accompanying two adults.

Activities on board include the opportunity for guests aged eight to eighty to climb the rigging, 50’ up into the crow’s nest for a bird’s eye view of the sun-warmed teak decks, the deck-top pools and bars and the spectacular ocean surround.

A qualified sports crew organise complimentary water sports, including wake boarding, kayaking and snorkelling, and on board the flagship, Royal Clipper, guests can swim in the open sea and enjoy water-sports from the drop-down marine deck at the stern of the ship.

Most sailings include a complimentary tour around the ship by zodiac dinghy, to get a spectacular view of these magnificent tall ships in full sail, with plenty of opportunity to photograph the ships and the crew, standing in line on the bowsprit.

Each day the ships call into new destinations, in the Greek and Italian islands and around the coastlines of Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Greece, France and Spain, while on sea days plenty of sun-loungers, plunge pools, an air-conditioned library and the opportunity for a massage in a deck-top pagoda make for long, relaxing days.

Departing from Rome on 20th August, a 7 night sailing around Italy’s islands and coast on board the 170-guest, four masted `Star Flyer’, visiting Lipari, Messina, Amalfi, Sorrento, Ponza and returning into Rome, costs from £4775 for a family of four, including 50% savings for child places, breakfast, lunch and dinner on board, and all port charges.
